Just Don't say I Didn't Warn You?

I'd be the first to tell you, I enjoy the convenience of using cell phones, cordless phones, computers, tablets etc. and I even liked 'micrograves' when I was younger and didn't know any better.

When we look at the advances in technology from 25 plus years ago, there are many differences that make our lives seem a lot easier, I don't think many can deny that.

I sometimes wonder how we lived without cell phones, especially. I know we had the pay phones but today seems like 95% of adults have a cell phone.

Not only does every adult seem to think these are essential and a must but now a day, children as young as 8 have phones and the parents are made to believe the children have to have them.

That's another subject altogether, Smh...

Yes, I admit these items are Kool and make things a lot easier at times, but we must be wise and understand that with every benefit there's always a negative/side affect or two when it comes to these man made items.

At times the side effects can be fatal.

So Be Careful, take heed, and watch the children and let them know.

The following Video Clip should make clear the point I'm making.

Your feedback is welcomed.

Have You Seen em??

Posted by ARW747 on November 9, 2013 at 1:45 PM Comments comments (0)

I mean if your eyes are open you can't miss them.

They may even even be family members or God forbid, a spouse or significant other'.

I see em all the time but these days it just makes me shake my head and wanna keep distance.

They say if it looks like a duck, walks, like a duck and quacks like a duck then dammit its a duck.

But these folk have such good disguises sometimes they'll fool you sometimes, and even fool themselves. Lol

You know the type, that have the Afrikan names, wear the right clothes and are on Facebook and other social sites sayin all the right stuff to get over.

Funny thing though, in real life, you know their 'private lives'...
  • where do they shop?
  • where do they go out to eat?
  • what do they eat?
  • what schools do their children attend?
  • what are they reading?
  • what tv shows do they watch?
  • Where do they desire to live?
I peep these individuals..

And you gotta be careful, if you don't wanna offend or argue with them, so I'll say very little.

But to me it's interesting how they will claim something, but their everyday actions and desires are opposite to what they claim to be about.

For 1, they're Nutritional Uncle Tom's, meaning they eat just as their former masters taught them. Fast Food (Fast Death) and so called soul food, makes up their diets.

This Soul Food you think you're eating is killing you slowly. They don't care cause you know it tastes Good.

Ok, you want a good education for your child, no problem.

Why is it you believe these schools are always outside of the black neighborhood?

Yes that may be true in some cases, but when speaking of private schooling or even home school options, these folk are looking at others that look nothing like themselves.

Furthermore, they tell you scholars like Dr Clarke and Dr Ben are irrelevant today and their solutions won't work in today's world. Hmmm..

You might hear them say, 'Nah, I could never live in Africa its too hot or too ancient, you know not modern enough.'
HUH???!!

Think I'll stop here, Seems to me enough examples were stated, and I'm sure you can add quite a few yourself.

I do hope the point was made, plus I'm done venting. :)

Sorry ARW, I had an incident recently and it made me think to write this one.

Anyhow, Thanks for listening as usual.

So if you ever wanna support a decent Black Business that's 100% owned and operated by someone that looks like you, and cares about your interests and has similar likes and dislikes,
I have a decent suggestion below.

Don't Open if You're Programmed?

Hope you find it useful.

Television has been described as the "dominate culture form" in America and it is how our nation gains a sense of itself.

Because America has not yet come to terms with the "race issue," the presence and absence of Black People on TV reflects the hint of the power imbalance in the society.

Did you know that television is addictive?
  • The more you watch the more you need to watch.
Did you know that television is Not Harmless?

The steady stream of radiation, light and sound coming from the set is absorbed into your body like a sponge.

Once it gets inside your head, the words, figures and sounds change your thoughts and influence your behavior.

They don't call the shows Programs for nothing.

If you're concerned with drugs, crime, and poor role models - you need to be concerned also about the programs your children watch.

Furthermore and maybe even more important, is the need to be concerned about what you watch, because your children are watching you.

It's you who's their 1st programmer, but who programmed you?!

Cool Black Inventors

We've heard about the Black inventors of the U.S. but what about Kemet (Ancient Egypt)...
  • Canada
  • Russia
  • The United Kingdom
  • Australia
  • Africa
  • and more
Who were these great  Black men and women?

The following new book on our site was written by a brother out of New York who specializes in researching Black Inventors.

He's put this book together after about 20 years of research and hard work.
An excellent work indeed.

The book will give you an understanding without a shadow of doubt that without Black folks inventions the world as we know it today would not be.

Usually when a book mentions black inventors, you hardly ever hear about those outside the United States. This book has you covered.

Discover inventors from your particular country or state. Inventors and inventions that have Never been known to most.

How about a whole chapter on Black Female inventors and Innovators
  • A Sista Bertha Berman out of New York received 5 patents for The Tooth Brush protector, Bed Sheet construction, Fitted Bed Construction and Table Cover

Excellent book for teachers students and anyone who loves learning and knowing the truth.

I'm compiling pieces for upcoming performances and this will definitely be included in my repertoire -- From the Nag Hammadi (The Thunder, Perfect Mind - excerpt):

I am the first and the last.
I am the honored one and the scorned one.
I am the whore and the holy one.
I am the wife and the virgin.
I am the mother and the daughter.
I am the members of my mother.
I am the barren one
and many are her sons.

I am neither here nor there, up or down left or right near or far...

No distinction or description can fit or suffice. In all descriptions are limitations.

Within the field of the mind is the known. The known is limited to memory.

Essence on the other hand is beyond mind, beyond anything coming from the mind, meaning any language/words or expressions, which is only a product of this limited and finite mind.
